SERVICES AND PRICING:
Deep Tissue Massage: 1hr: $100
This type of massage is for the person who likes a strong touch and has one or more problematic/aching areas in the body. Deep tissue affects the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. Trigger point therapy is often used for this type of work to break adhesions. Trigger points are defined as localized areas in which the muscle and connective tissue are highly sensitive to pain when compressed. Pressure on these points can send referred pain to other specific parts of the body. Deep tissue massage helps with chronic muscular pain, stiffness, and injury rehabilitation by bringing more localized circulation and better range of motion to the surrounding tissues and joints.
Therapeutic Massage: 1hr: $100
This type of massage is a combination of finger pressure points (Shiatsu), Swedish massage, deep tissue, and some foot reflexology points. Deep tissue will only be done on the specified problematic area, then proceed with Swedish massage, and stretching techniques to calm and loosen the body, therefore making you feel more relaxed and balanced.
Swedish Massage: 1hr: $100
This type of massage is more of a relaxing session. It is designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. The strokes are all directed toward the heart and are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. I use a combination of kneading, rolling, tapping, and friction. The benefits of Swedish massage include generalized relaxation and dissolution of adhesions.
Prenatal Massage: 1hr: $100
Pregnancy is a time of major changes including structural and physiological changes. These changes can produce aches and pains that can be alleviated by appropriate massage techniques for the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Please be advice that massage therapy during pregnancy is not intended to replace appropriate prenatal care. Some of the benefits are: stress reduction, increases blood and lymph circulation, and relieves muscles pain, spasms, tension, cramps, and swelling.
Foot Reflexology: 1hr: $80
It is a method of working the feet where reflex areas or points correspond to every organ, gland and system of the body. Applying pressure to these reflex areas will help to normalize organ function. The specific benefits of reflexology will vary from client to client; this depends on their general health, their receptiveness to the work, and the frequency of the work. Some of the benefits are reduction of stress and improve circulation.
